Juan Carlos Manríquez is a distinguished Chilean lawyer with more than three decades of professional experience, recognized for his expertise in Economic and Corporate Criminal Law, Cybercrime, Data Protection and Privacy in Criminal Proceedings, and International Criminal Law.
He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from both the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and California Western School of Law (USA). His academic formation is further enriched by a Specialization in Economic and Corporate Criminal Law from the Universidad de Castilla–La Mancha (Spain) and an Advanced Diploma in International Criminal Law from the Syracuse Institute in Italy.
Mr. Manríquez combines a remarkable legal career with an extensive academic presence. He serves as Professor of Economic Criminal Law and International Criminal Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, and is a frequent lecturer at academic conferences and doctoral programs throughout Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, and other countries.
Beyond academia, he acts as Legal Advisor to the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, contributing his expertise to the development of national legal frameworks. A former President of the Valparaíso Bar Association, Mr. Manríquez is also a Full Member of the International Criminal Court Bar Association (ICCBA) and has served as Counsel before the International Criminal Court (ICC) since 2018.
He is further affiliated with the Association of Foreign Bars (AFBA) and Privacy Rules International, reflecting his active engagement in global legal discourse and his commitment to advancing justice, ethics, and human rights in both domestic and international arenas.
